It's half a game jam! Work with a theme to make a game idea, incorporating plans for how art, music, tools, players, marketing, etc. all work together to make your new idea awesome.
By the end of the evening, you'll have blueprints ready to start building your game!
Given a prompt, developers will focus on concept work to bring a game's basic structure to fruition, exploring gameplay mechanics, concept art, story, mood, scope, and marketing in a more rudimentary brainstorming setting. By the end of the evening, teams and individuals will have developed design documents that would allow a technical team to bring the game idea into being! The theme, sample design doc, advising, and basic supplies will be provided.
No technical skills are required for this half-jam. Teams may be formed before or during the event, and individuals are welcome to participate. Recommended supplies include extra paper, pens, art supplies, or laptops depending on individuals' personal brainstorming and communication techniques. Food will not be provided, but will be for sale via our venue.
Participants are also welcome to work with other design documents, work in our space to create other media working with our prompt and time frame, or create a game working with our prompt and time frame.
