Hiya folks!
Since we're all such wonderful people, I'd love to get to know you all better through an introduction thread! This would be a good place to post all the specific stuff your good at/like to do so that we can find out more about each other and enlist each other's help!
So to kick it off, I'm Jackson. I'm a CompSci student, and I like making art, coding, and game design. I also like funky electronic music, going through large volumes of game design blogs, and reading books at the laundromat.
Specifically, I'm experienced in Actionscript 3.0, pixel art and animation, vector art and animation, and general game design.
I also blog and have all my games hosted on my website.

I'm a 24 year old student at PNCA who's new to Portland, and I've been working on small games since 2009. My first project was doing artwork for an indie RPG called Labyrinthica, and my most recent was doing the cover art for the published edition of EFG magazine.
I mostly use Python and Actionscript 3.0, along with Photoshop CS6 for art. I'm primarily an artist and at quite a beginner level with programming.
My current project is Deadly Kawaii, which was a successfully funded Indiegogo project, found here and being developed with the Stencyl engine. I also just put up the development site at http://www.1-bird.com.
Most of my art is currently featured right here.
I'm hoping to work on a small project or two over the summer, and maybe do a small local Game Jam with anyone else who's interested. Nice to meet you guys!

So rad to find a forum like this. I suppose the best way to start is by introducing myself, I'm Ryan and I'm a sound designer at Digital One (www.digone.com) here in Portland. I've been working professionally for years now in post production (Film, TV, Radio, Web, etc.) and would love to branch out into sound for games. So, if any of you are needing some sound work for your games, or would just like to meet up and geek out on audio, I'm your man. I'd also gladly give a tour to anyone interested. So, if any of that sounds enticing, or you just have an audio-related question, feel free to drop me a line at ryan@digone.com. Otherwise, you'll probably just see me trolling around these here forums.

I am an Unity Developer at a company named Vizwerks. We focus on creating various experiences for retail stores and retail marketing. My role is creating 3D interactive components such as realtime visualizations of stores, 3D interactive product brochures, kiosks, and other things along those lines.
I also have two unity games I have made which are in the iOS app store, as well as a long history as a 3D modeler, texture artist and rendering artist.
If you want to see my work, take a look at my online resume here:

I will be trying to attend more of the Unity meetups, and other indie game meetups as I believe I could potentially help alot of people. I have been in Unity development full-time for nearly 3 years now and have very in-depth knowledge of Unity on all levels. I also have a high comfort level with architecting entire overarching structures for games and how they should be laid out and function internally. I will try to share what I know if anyone wants some input on how to bring any of their Unity ideas to life.
